Curious about what it takes to make a career in film, TV, graphic design, and video game animation or development? Toronto Film School’s Behind the Screens event is your exclusive backstage pass to hands-on workshops, Hollywood-grade gear, and expert insights. In this one-day only event, you will get a glimpse into the world of creative careers from those who are living them.

ACTING WORKSHOP

Experience the atmosphere of a live film set as cameras roll and you take direction in real time.

EQUIPMENT DEMO

Get up close with Hollywood-level cameras, lenses, lighting and gear from Sony and other equipment partners, with guidance from our Equipment Room Manager.

SCREENWRITING LAB

Break down story fundamentals and shape them into a sharp logline in an interactive storytelling challenge.

GAMES DEN

Play student-created video games, challenge yourself on arcade machines, and explore game design.

GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDIO

Explore visual storytelling, experiment with composition, and bring a graphic concept to life in an interactive design activation.

SPEED SESSIONS

In the format a speed networking – meet TFS Stars, ask your questions, and gain practical career insight from alumni and faculty working in the industry.

YOUR DEGREE PATHWAY

Earn Your Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) — and Save $10,000

Start with a Toronto Film School diploma and transition directly into a BCA at our degree pathway partner, Yorkville University. Through Dual Enrolment, secure conditional admission early, complete both credentials back-to-back in as little as 3–4 years, and save $10,000 in tuition.

*$10,000 bursary is applied to the last two terms of the BCA program. Students presenting with credentials from shorter-duration programs, such as 12-month diplomas or those diplomas obtained through fully online programs, will be required to engage in supplementary academic coursework at YU. Applicants are encouraged to arrange a call with an admissions advisor for full details, including admission requirements.

The institution has been granted a consent by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) to offer the BCA for a seven-year term starting 2020/12/17. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (i.e., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions).
