18 months
Film and TV Production
Join us at our brand new, state of the art studio campus at 120 Bloor Street East. Here, you’ll learn by doing: directing scenes, running camera and sound, collaborating with your crew, and shaping stories that feel true to you. You’ll also learn the business of film, including package and proposal development, legal fundamentals, and financing.

Screenwriting
Join us in our Writers’ Room where you can brainstorm, pitch ideas and collaborate on story ideas. You’ll develop scripts across comedy, drama, feature film, video games, and digital formats through the guidance of industry-active writers. You’ll learn how to showrun your own production, pitch and market your screenplays, and develop the business savvy needed to excel as a screenwriter today. You can train at our new studio campus, remotely through live instruction, or choose a hybrid of the two.

Acting for Film, TV and Theatre
At our studio campus, credited actors will teach you the skills to perform professionally for the screen or stage while demystifying the business. You’ll work in Hollywood-level studios, act in short films, perform in live plays and learn how to develop character voices for animated productions and video games. Graduate with a demo reel of work, a headshot provided by us, a complimentary theWorkbook membership, and eligibility for your first ACTRA credit.

Graphic Design
Here, you’ll apply core design principles to shape brands, craft visual systems, and develop ideas that connect with your target markets. You’ll collaborate through critiques on agency-level briefs and use emerging and industry-standard tools to bring your ideas to life. From concept to execution, your work will span digital, motion, and interactive formats—reflecting how design operates in today’s creative industries. This program is offered remotely through live instruction.
18 months
Game Design & Animation
You’ll conceive, design, model, and animate characters and worlds alongside working game creators. Train in the full art and animation pipeline, collaborate on team-based projects, and use emerging industry-standard tools to turn your ideas into playable games. You’ll gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and workflows while learning how a real game studio operates—from marketing strategies to production budgets. This program is offered remotely through live instruction.
18 months
Game Development
You’ll learn how games are built from the inside out. Train across gameplay programming, AI frameworks, engine architecture, and networking infrastructure while collaborating in a studio-style, team-based production. You will also be taught the essential business skills—like marketing and monetization—needed to launch your games. This program is offered remotely through live instruction.
New terms start quarterly
in January, April, July, and October.
(Please note: there is no Screenwriting intake for April or July. There is no Graphic Design intake for April).

LDC INTERNATIONAL BURSARY
Applicants from Least Developed Countries (LDC) could be eligible to receive up to a $10,000 tuition bursary towards their program of choice. The list of eligible countries is available here.

Your Degree Pathway
Add a Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) Degree
Imagine graduating with your creative diploma from Toronto Film School and seamlessly transitioning into a Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) program at our degree pathway partner, Yorkville University. The BCA will equip you with the skills to take on leadership roles and project-based positions, or to start your own business in the creative industries.
Explore our Dual Enrolment program: Gain conditional admission to the YU BCA program simultaneously with your TFS program enrolment and complete them back-to-back. This streamlined approach allows you to achieve two qualifications faster while also benefiting from $10,000 in tuition savings.*
*$10,000 bursary is applied evenly across all academic terms of the BCA program. Please arrange a call with an admissions advisor for more details.
Quality FOR A WORK PERMIT UPON GRADUATION
Upon completion of the BCA program, international students may qualify to apply for the country’s Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program.
This permit would allow international students to live and work in Canada.
