On Campus programs are offered through Toronto Film School, Ontario.

In Ontario, Yorkville University offers a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree which is delivered on-campus and online. The institution has been granted a consent by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) to offer the BCA for a 7-year term starting 12/17/2020. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions).

Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre Diploma

PROGRAM DURATION

18 months (6 terms)

Master the craft of acting and harness the full range of performance techniques under the mentorship of professional actors.

The Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre program applies the Stanislavski Method (living truthfully under imaginary circumstances) to blend film and television acting with the critical foundations of stage technique. You will explore the artistic, technical and business facets of acting through practical, hands-on training. From movement to voice and improvisation, you will learn the foundations of acting for the camera and the stage, as well as the skills needed for voice over, hosting, screenwriting, pitching, producing, directing, video editing, auditioning and career management. As a graduate of the program, you’ll be eligible for your first ACTRA credit (you will only need two more to receive full ACTRA membership). We’re the first private school in Ontario to make this arrangement with ACTRA.

Designed for students who already have a specialized diploma in the creative arts, the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree program from Yorkville University complements your creativity with the advanced business and leadership skills you need to succeed in the creative arts industries.

Master a complete understanding of your chosen creative industry, including talent management, project budgeting, financial planning, and more.
